Spring Cleaning & Information Overload

Went through and spruced up the tags for some of my older posts. Made things a bit more organized and hopefully made things a bit easier to find around here. Added a tag cloud over on the right for easy browsing and also added a Contact Form up top for folks that want to contact me away from the comments section. In other news, I’m considering trying “Clawbinder” in some audio anthologies as well. These places are usually okay for reprint purposes for the sole reason that it’s done in a completely unseen media. Though in reviewing the contract, I’ll probably need to wait until August to submit it around. I want to make doubly sure I don’t step on any toes in the process, if you know what I mean.

The sequel to Suzie’s Nightmare is coming along fairly well, though not nearly as quick as I’d like it to be. Here’s a quick update on the progress as of yesterday afternoon:

Project: Sequel to Suzie’s Nightmare
Deadline: End of 2011 (Preferably much sooner)
New words written: 666
Present total word count: 3,328
Total Word Count for 2011: 22,837

Again my daily output is much lower than what it ought to be, but I have to remind myself that it’s better than no progress at all. This book is a bit different from the first because I have two threads of plot moving along, which will combine in the middle somewhere. I’ve a general gist of how this book will flow, but getting it to that point is a bit more complicated. Introductions are always tough for me, and seeing as it’s a sequel I’m trying to give a bit of back story for Part I without overwhelming the newcomers with information overload. It’s a delicate process, but one I think I’ll be able to handle. I’m also really excited about the new character that’s being introduced, so getting that balanced with the new look of the familiar ones is a bit of a balance act.
