Happy Release Day to The Hunters of Kanta!

I’m so thrilled to share that it’s the book birthday of The Hunters of Kanta, Book 3 in The Wolves of Kanta series!

Mercy and Andrei are headed to Crowsmirth in this action-packed book. Now that they have a new way to combat werewolves, they have to seek out the werewolf camps deep in the woods. That proves difficult when they only have so much daylight and the night is full of terrors.

Mercy not only has to deal with some vicious werewolves in this book, but some people who are far worse. The werewolf hunters are in their own way just as terrible as the werewolves they hunt, and Mercy and her friends have to figure out how to survive despite the danger that surrounds them.

The Hunters of Kanta is now available in ebook, paperback, and hardback! Expect to see signed copies available soon on my Ko-Fi shop!

THE HUNTERS OF KANTA

Mercy is on a mission.

She plans to administer her partial cure to as many werewolves as she can find, giving them a new chance at life. That means leaving Kanta and convincing werewolves of her good intentions. But finding their campsites during the day isn’t easy.

Hot on the heels of a large camp somewhere near Crowsmirth, Mercy and Andrei get side-tracked by an unexpected rescue mission. They soon learn that there are far more werewolves in those woods than they expected. They’re outnumbered, completely unprepared for the sheer numbers against them, and worse yet, running out of daylight.

Desperate to get out of the forest before night falls and the slaughter begins, they run straight into a team of highly organized werewolf hunters.

Surrounded by vicious killers and countless werewolves, can Mercy and her friends survive the long night in Crowsmirth?

Happy Cover Reveal to The Hunters of Kanta

I’m so thrilled to share the cover for third book in The Wolves of Kanta series!

It’s amazing to me how quickly this series is getting out into the world! Book 3 is quite gory, especially compared to the first two books in the series, but that’s to be expected when you’re writing in a post-apocalyptic world with so many werewolves. I had a lot of fun with continuing Mercy’s journey as she works to spread her partial cure to lycanthropy to as many werewolves as possible. She has big plans ahead, but she’s nowhere near ready for the obstacles she will have to overcome.

Between gruesome werewolves and blood-thirsty werewolf hunters, Mercy may have bitten off more than she can handle.

The Night Beat by Gini Koch

Finished: January 22, 2019

So today is Gini Koch’s birthday, and I thought writing up my review for her action-packed Urban Fantasy novel, The Night Beat, was a great way to celebrate!

My Review:

This book is an incredible roller coaster ride of action, monsters, and special guests. Yes, this book features such surprises as H.P. Lovecraft, Edgar Allen Poe, and (no, I’m not joking) Queen singer Freddie Mercury. That should give you a good idea of the kind of wacky adventures that ensure and the kind of world you’re jumping into.

Victoria Wolfe is an undercover werewolf who works as a police officer to protect Prosaic City. What starts out as fighting an unspeakable monster that’s taking out the city’s unfortunates turns into a fight bigger than heaven and hell. It’s pulpy, it’s hilarious, and it’s intense from page one to the end. I absolutely loved it and am looking forward to her next book!

What I consider a 5-star book:

  1. Is it a fun read? Absolutely! This book is like a fantastic fever dream of your favorite horror and action films.
  2. Would you recommend it to others? If you enjoy fast-paced, pulpy stories with a heavy dose of intricate world-building and a slew of inhuman characters, then yes!
  3. Does it stick with you? This book is so unique and unusual that it definitely sticks with you. There’s just nothing quite like it.

My overall rating: 5/5

The She-Wolf of Kanta, Now on Audible!

I’m so excited to be able to announce that The She-Wolf of Kanta is now available on audiobook through Audible! It’s read by the amazing actress, Kyra McFarland, who really knows how to bring these characters to life. The sample I listened to just blew me away and I can’t wait to hear how she brought the rest of these characters to life.

I love audiobooks. Ever since I bit the bullet and got into Audible last year, I’ve been tearing through my To-Read list. I’m well on my way to reaching my Goodreads Reading Challenge for this year. I listen to books on my daily work commute, while I’m at the gym, and sometimes when I’m doing the dishes. Being able to do things while I listen to books has expanded my genre interests so much. Since I do the subscription every few months and get a free credit which is essentially a free book, I’ve tried books I never thought I would. So you can imagine how thrilled I was that a book that I wrote is now available there!

It’s one of those things you think would be fantastic to happen, but figure it’ll never happen to you – and yet here I am. I worked closely with Kyra and Olivia (my publisher over at Radiant Crown Publishing) throughout the process. Both were very supportive of the piece and worked hard to make sure it was the best it could be. I’m so grateful to both of their help!

If you don’t have an Audible subscription, no worries, you can download it for less than $5 on the site. It’s almost as cheap as the eBook version!

Mercy has always dreamed of becoming a werewolf trapper like her father. In Kanta, one must learn how to survive one way or another. A dark-skinned, blue-eyed young beauty, Mercy understands that she brings out the beast in monsters and men. When a routine werewolf delivery turns into a vicious assault from a pair of human traffickers, Mercy’s life changes forever. Somehow she must endure in a dangerous city where women and werewolves are hunted.

The event is on June 23rd from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. It *may* be livestreamed depending on the internet connection, but I can’t make any promises. Make sure you follow me on Facebook or Instagram to be able to watch!
