Stealing a Kiss

The time is before the Prophecy, and a young Lucius Malfoy is sent to explore the disappearance of a Death Eater family. When he comes across their bodies, he calls on Severus to assist him. Together they have to figure out the mystery behind the murder, and deal with the revelation of the Prophecy – and how Lucius and Narcissa’s son might be involved.

Lucius and Narcissa experiment with charms, and Lucius and Severus exchange a heated kiss. Then Narcissa gets confronted with her own silly stubbornness, and Lucius expresses that he’s just a tad bit nervous about the famed Black temper. He’d really rather let Severus explain a sticky situation than be forced to himself. After all, he has to live with the woman!

It was pretty tough to get this word count out today, but once I let these three take over the plot, I found it much easier to work through. They’re a load of fun to write, and their banter keeps even the tamest of conversations quite entertaining. I guess that’s to be expected of a trio of Slytherins.

Boo yeah! Beat my 10k mark. =) This officially counts as a Lucius Roar now. Wrote a simple but sweet scene with Lucius and Narcissa as they try to figure out what to do about the Prophecy (especially with the dangerous additional information they now know about). Then the Malfoys came up with a most malicious idea indeed, and their plan is set into motion.

In other news last night we hung out with friends and family an played some Wii Resort Bowling. It was a lot of fun, and we were able to get the house cleaned up before everybody dropped by. *Whew!* Add my daily NaNo word count and the fact that I’m recovering from a nasty sinus infection, and I think it went pretty well.

It’s not precisely how I anticipated spending my 4th of July weekend, but it certainly isn’t bad. And I feel a lot better than I did Friday. Lets hope next week is nice and easy-going!

Almost through with the word count requirement, and I’m only about halfway through the story. Lucius and Snape get into a fight, though it doesn’t exactly start out that way. Severus is damn upset and Lucius gives him the only advice he can think of, regardless of how crazy it sounds. Oh and he realizes that it suddenly is a great idea to have their kid a bit premature. Poor guys.

This story’s coming along quite nicely! I’ve been pretty sick all day though, and it’ll probably be another week before I’m back to my regular non-sick self again. I’m taking plenty of antibiotics, but it’s amazing how I just get thoroughly wiped during the day sometimes. Too bad it has to happen around Camp NaNo though… I’m just glad it’s the weekend!

Lucius and Severus finish up their investigation, Lucius learns what it’s like to deal with a pregnant wife, and falls asleep on a chair with a glass of wine. (Pretty typical Lucius, if I do say!) Then Severus comes in with – OMG WTF BBQ news. Like he does. šŸ˜‰

That was a hot little scene right there! Lucius and Severus are examining the corpses, and of course, it turns into a fight/make-out session. Needless to say, Severus loses the argument, and ends up making not just one agreement, but two. I’m coming along nicely on the story, though I’m not even out of the first chapter yet! *grin* I guess my story’s going to be a long one at this rate.

Oh and this is one of the fics I’m working on for Camp NaNoWriMo this summer, and you can check out my progress over here. The site’s still a little rough around the edges, but I don’t care. Writing motivation is still there, regardless of the details.

And Rapunzel’s Daughters came out today! *cheer* You definitely should take a peek inside at the Amazon link and take a look at some of the tales & beautiful pictures. If you’re interested in purchasing one, I recommend getting it from the publisher. That way more of your cash goes to the actual publishers, artists, and writers instead of a percentage going to the corporation.
